Spiegel Online report on "The Kill Team"



'Trophy' photos from Afghanistan are very similar to those the redneck hunters take to show off their deer kill.

No surprises here. Soldiers brainwashed to see their 'kills' as sub-human or animals will continue the war crimes as long as we send them to criminal wars.

Apologists are already saying that the release of 3 photos out of close to 4,000 photos and videos that Spiegel 'obtained' will harm the war cause. All we can say is "we hope so."

Spiegel is a partner with Wikileaks so no telling what kind of psyops game is going on. Who benefits from these photo leaks? Spiegel is certainly not doing this as an anti-war statement.

Speaking of anti-war, I was going through the radio channels today seeing what was being said about Libya and ran into one of our local neocon war whore talking heads who used the words "anti-war kooks" a least 10 times in about a 20 minute segment. That would many of us he's talking about. Those who don't go along with the program of kill them over there before they kill us here.

I'm sort of proud to be a kook.

Reports vary but each missile supposedly costs us around $560k. Over $60 million of  product used up in maybe a couple of hours.  Only the beginning.  Crank up those manufacturing lines. Americans, get out your checkbook. Time to replenish the supply line.

The Madness of Equality

I love women and equality and don't subscribe to  'barefoot and pregnant' thinking but the eternal wars and militarization of every aspect of this country have gone too far.

Yeah baby, you've come a long way. Step right up to the front lines of kill and be killed. Leave your babies at home because it's all for their freedom.

Don't think twice it's alright.

Whatever happened to women as nurturers of peace? Lost in the fog of contrived feminism? No matter how insane, equality must be taken to the extreme? Being a duped pawn of the masters of war and going toe to toe with the 'enemy'  is not just for young men anymore. Here's your chance. Pull that trigger. Killing is thrilling.


The social manipulator lefties of Ms. Magazine and Huffpost love the idea of women in combat. The fixated on death righties mostly just love killing no matter who does it.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Women, who make up some 14 percent of the armed forces, should finally be permitted to serve fully in front-line combat units, a military advisory panel says.

The call by a commission of current and retired military officers to dismantle the last major area of discrimination in the armed services could set in motion another sea change in military culture as the armed forces, generations after racial barriers fell, grapples with the phasing out of the ban on gays serving openly.

It is time "to create a level playing field for all qualified service members," the members said Friday.

I don't know the motivations or mental state of this 30 year old Ft. Campbell soldier but he may be on to something.

Refusing to re-deploy to Afghanistan and checking himself into a mental health treatment program is the best thing this young man can do for himself, his wife and two kids. He needs a little gentle deprogramming if he hasn't done that himself already. He deserves a chance to live as normal a life as possible.

After all, he was manipulated into 'volunteering.' His training included a form of mind control. Who knows what he saw and learned and physically encountered in his first tour of Afghanistan? Maybe he found out that everything he knew was wrong and wants no more of the lies? Maybe he just needs a little help in separating himself from the madness?


There was a time when we called AWOL "another week of life."  It's still the same today. Refusing to deploy or better yet not volunteering ... it's he healthiest thing a young man or woman can do.

FT. CAMPBELL, Tenn. – The wife of a formerly AWOL Ft. Campbell soldier who was scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan said her husband has entered a mental health treatment program instead.

Spc. Jeff Hanks went AWOL during his mid-tour leave from Afghanistan last year and turned himself in on Veterans Day.

The 30-year-old soldier complained about the lack of treatment by the Army for his behavioral health issues he said stemmed from previous deployments and a concussion suffered in Afghanistan.

His command ordered him to return to Afghanistan to finish out his deployment, but his wife Christina Hanks said Tuesday that he is now staying at Cumberland Hall, a residential treatment program in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Ft. Campbell spokesman Rick Rzepka confirmed Hanks will not deploy immediately, but would not discuss his case due to privacy rules.

Hanks' case has been taken up by supporters from the group Iraq Veterans Against the War, who were with Hanks during a press conference outside the installation's gates last November when he turned himself in.

Why must we look to the past for the anti-war songs that define a generation?

Our very own national propaganda radio, NPR as it's known, occasionally has a feature that tells a good story if you read between the lines. This time it's "why don't we hear a few anti-war songs today in our time of war?"  Once upon a time people loved these songs, they were played on the radio, they just maybe had the power to open a fence sitter's eyes, they elicited emotion.

Now you never hear one, even on college radio. They don't write 'em like they used to, major labels won't record them or promote them. It wouldn't sell, it's passe, it's the era of terror say the ones who run what we are allowed to hear on the public airwaves. Radio seems to be controlled by the war machine doesn't it?  Going against the corporate play list is not career enhancing.

The Vietnam War was different. Some folks had something to say about war and many wanted to hear it.

So where are the great anti-war songs of our time. The current theaters of imperialism and genocide are begging for a voice.       I'm waiting ...

I've listened to this one since I was a kid. It's still relevant.

One of John Lennon's least known efforts. It should still be relevant ... especially with the youth who will pay the price if they allow themselves to be a soldier.

Veterans Day - War Profiteers Say Thanks to the Pawns

Well, actually those at the top of the war racket won't say thanks and mean it. They are the ones who laugh behind the backs of those who fall for the lies. The ones who secretly hope the American people will never wake up to the fact that bankers fund all sides to conflicts, that arms manufacturers deal their wares to any who will pay, that politicians will send your children to be used and die so that they and their 'friends' will be able to count bigger stacks of money.

Today the kids are being economically forced into war slavery because the bankers, Wall Street and their politician lackeys have destroyed our economy leaving few options for those without means to avoid this underhanded draft.

It is speaking truth about power -- not the old cliché of "speaking truth to power" -- that we so desperately need. There's no point in speaking truth to power -- power already knows the truth of its monstrous crimes, and it doesn't give a damn.

They {protesters} can also just be killed outright, without charges, without due process, at the lawless whim of the president or one of his designated minions -- or indeed, one of the literally thousands of people, many of them foreigners, that the United States government now pays to roam various regions of the earth killing people: blowing them up in their houses, murdering them in their beds, machine-gunning their children, drone-bombing their neighborhoods, knifing them on street corners, pushing them out of windows, poisoning them in restaurants, whatever. Material support of terrorism .....

A logical and honest definition of a terrorist would include the U.S. government itself. That would make all of us involved  in "activities concerning the material support of terrorism."  We pay taxes (although forced), we vote, we allow imperialistic wars by not doing enough to stop them and the list goes on and on.

When we do nothing, we are terrorist supporters.
