Centralisation is not necessarily better

All that glistens is not gold and all that is centralised is not better, two facts that I'm sure many of you would agree with. The strange thing that I've noticed in recent years is how the government is very keen to centralise things which are better done locally, while they are keen to keep things local when they should be centralised, these poor decisions are sometimes just down to stupidity,
