Over the Weekend

Thank you my precious friends
for this blessing
and encouragement.

I have been edified and blessed by what you share
on your blogs. Your blogs are praiseworthy
my sisters.

Our Pastor 's daughter (not pictured)
stopped to pick up bouquets
for her teachers on the way
to the Friday Fellowship meeting

Today, Sept. 5th is celebrated as Teacher 's Day in India
It is the birth anniversary of Dr S Radhakrishnan,
the first Vice President and second President of India.
He was a great educationist and scholar.
Students show their appreciation for teachers by presenting them with cards, gifts and flowers.
These lines from in Sanskrit poem (our ancient language) express it well.
"Vidhya ddhati vinyam vinayyat yaat
patratam'".
Learning gives one humility.
From humility one begets character.

Kids at the fellowship meeting.
The grandparents of the girl and boy on either
side are not dedicated Christians although they
"believe" in Christ in their own way.
This old couple also came for the meeting and afterwards shared
how their born-again son and daughter-in-law
are the only ones who feed and take care of them.
Their other sons don 't bother about them much although they live in the same house with them.
This is a great testimony for the love of Christ.

Got a snap of these parrots in their house.
I don 't like to cage birds.
Its not fair to our feathered friends
and I hate to see them locked up .
Now we have animal friendly zoos
otherwise I would hate to see wild animals
incarcerated.
