Finding True Religion

Michael Stipe wrote about sitting in the corner and losing his. Others fight over it. Sometimes whole nations of individuals who never go to church rise up in righteous fury and bombard others because of their religious differences. Something that happened 500 years ago can be enough to set off the desire to clean the land of the "intolerable other."

On the good side, we human beings are fascinated with meaning. We are immersed in spiritual interest even if we never think about it.

Today on Healing Through Consciousness, Finding True Religion.

There are topics you should never bring up in family dinner conversations, right? Stay away from politics and religion goes the common wisdom. And sometimes sports rivalries, too, in families with a lot of die-hard fans.

But since the dawn of Man, humankind has been conscious of the existence of a Superior Being. This God or Yahweh or Allah or Great Father or any of the other myriad names we give Him is considered in all cultures to be the ultimate expression of goodness, truth and beauty.

I'm not saying that all believe. It's obvious some don't. I'm saying that all races, nationalities, cultures, tribes have rituals and beliefs around the origin of all things and the Creator, who is deemed responsible for all this within which we live.

Spirituality, then, is universal and as natural as breathing. We are, in fact, born theologians.

Now there's a thought for you. We can, of course, push that thought away, make a concerted effort to forget that whoo-whoo stuff and bend our energies towards the more tangible world of making a living and feeding our families. Get our heads out of the clouds and noses to the grindstone, so to speak.

But in those impactful moments of our lives, when we lose a loved one or a new little one comes into our families, or we get sick or are brought back from the brink of death, when we sit outside and watch the stars or hear Louis Armstrong play "Walkin' My Baby Back Home," when we fall in or out of love, in those moments I'm pretty sure most of us are thinking about something more than what font we're going to use on our next resume.

Who we are, where we came from, what's it all about, Alfie, are the questions we all seek to understand better. And Analytical Trilogy, the science we base this Podcast on, is helpful to us in our search. Trilogy meaning, by the way, the union of science, philosophy and theology. We treat all aspects of the human being in our thereapeutic Healing Through Consciousness program with Dr. Claudia Bernhardt Pacheco, the vice-president of the International Society of Analytical Trilogy and a highly sought after integral psychoanalyst.

Trilogical analysis is available to any who want to understand these deeper questions in this lives, or just get a better frip on what's going on day to day. joneshealing@gmail.com is our email address if I can help you in any way. And you can find out a lot more on our site.

Today, let's talk about finding true religion.
